Robin exhaled slowly. As an archer, this final exhalation, almost a ritual, was the calm before the storm; the final moment before releasing the arrow and wreaking havoc on its target.

Like all bowman, Robin was as strong as an ox. Daily training had seen to that. Hours upon hours of drawing back the beautifully curved yew bow had thickened Robin’s muscles like hempen rope, to the point where he could now draw the massive bow with ease.

The thousands of arrows that he had loosed since the age of 6, when he had been given his first bow, made Robin a professional, and like his ancestors, a bowman of his skill didn’t miss. The yew bow was so familiar that it was like an extension of his body; when it was not in his hands he didn’t feel alive.

He was the bow. The bow was him.

He didn’t need to aim; all he had to do was glance at his target and he knew the missile would find its mark.

A rustle from the treeline to his left disturbed Robin’s thoughts…

  1. He looked to that direction and to his disbelief he spotted someone sitting in the tall oak tree. The figure stood still. Robin stared. Thoughts came into his head. Was this a child? Should he go and talk to the figure? Did he know this person? Did the person know him? After a moment of silence, Robin finally exclaimed “Hello. Who are you?” A voice boomed “I am your father.” Suddenly an arrow shot from the tree. Robin was such an advanced arrow shooter and luckily ducked when the arrow flew by. “Why did you do that father?”asked Robin but no one answered. Robin went to get his bow and arrow ready for his practice. When Robin was ready he went to meet his friends. Although everyone was amazing shooting and shooting more and more arrows, Robin was always the best. Robin turned around and saw his father shooting arrows.

  2. …Then he let go of the string. The arrow flew closer and closer to the narrow target. Then, he knew right away that the arrow would hit. There was a slight breeze, rustling the leaves on the trees and on the ground. The wind gentle pushed the arrow sideways so that he would score. Robin could not believe what he had seen! He was saved! He hadn’t missed a single shot after all, although he would have if he hadn’t got lucky by the wind changing the position of the arrow so that he wouldn’t miss. So now, he took another shot. This time, he wouldn’t get distracted. He blocked his ears, took a quick glance at the target and fired. BULZIE!!! He got a ten pointer shot! Now that was more like Robin. The End

  3. The noise became louder and louder. Robin couldn’t focus, sweat trickled down the sides of his cheeks as he watched the treeline at the corner of his eye. His bow started to wobble and then…… SHOOT, he let go of the bow! The bow went every where, bouncing on cans of tins, smashing windows and going through houses! Robin started to panic, what if he wasn’t as good as he thought, he let a rustle defeat him. What if his men would make fun of him? Then the bow, after all that bouncing and smashing, had finally given up and had one last bounce on a tin and made its self face the target. Was it going to go and hit the red spot in the middle ? Robin had his finger crossed as he closed his eyes hoping it will go in the middle . After a few seconds, the crowd went wild. Clapping and cheering, they put Robin Hood on their shoulders. Robin opened his eyes and saw his bow stuck in the middle trying to get out! ” WAHOOO!” Robin shouted and went back to his den to tell his mates.

  4. he glanced in that direction. But nothing was there, it was all in his mind he thought, so continued aiming and shooting. There it was again. He now knew that it was not just in the mind because his prey turned around and ran off. Not knowing wether to run or investigate the sound came again louder than before. Now slightly worried he was sure he should go and find the noise maker. Off he went into the forest trying to capture the distraction. Robin wandered on and on into the forest seeing nothing that was not trees but kept listening to the noise getting louder. Then there it was, the thing making the noise. Robin had never seen such a thing before. He could see that it was small but nothing else.

  5. He glanced back as the arrow flew like a asteroid. It landed on the lizard tail. The lizard heaved wit all his might as the tail yanked of the lizard body. “They will grow back,” said Robin, as if nothing happened. The lizard glared back at him and scurried along. He squeaked “I’ll be back with an army.”. Robin went back to his base with his people (the people he has been stealing for) and told them what happened with the lizard (but Robin never heard the last part when the lizard said he would be back.

  6. He glanced in that direction, and to his amazement spotted an arrow. It was neatly carved of elder, with a golden furnishing and the sharpest end Robin had ever seen. Now fully distracted, he delicately placed his bow on the smooth rock face and turned towards the place where the arrow was. It was gone. Robin breathed in sharply and, as if the missing arrow had put some sense into him, went to retrieve his bow. His target had gone, Robin groaned, cursing his luck. It was only then that he realized that his bow and arrows where not there. It was after this unfortunate discovery that Robin decided that it was ‘things going missing day’ today. The bow was part of him he had to get it back. Thankfully Robin was an exceptional tracker and saw some prints that he had never seen before, he raced through the trees always keeping an eye on the tracks. He could tell from the angle of the prints that the creature was running. All of a sudden Robin came to a halt outside a bramble bush his bow and arrow was there.

  7. A rustle from the treeline to his left disturbed robin’s thoughts to aim but he will waste it so he might run but then he he things quickly and goes to shot the strong man and the army are shocked by what he did and robin was devastated. 1 week later, he went to the funeral and went to his grave and to his chest and took the bow arrow.

  11. It was a bear that was as big as a giant, Robin was going to kill it but then he didn’t so Robin ran away from it as fast as a cheater and he found another spot to carry on doing archery. He was fantastic at it and he never missed a target and he was happy doing that no one was better than him. Without warning, he saw that the gigantic bear had found him again and that it was coming towards him and the bear was angry at him. Robin didnt no what to do.

  12. A rustle from the treeline to his left disturbed Robin’s thought that if he shot the arrow right through a kind person’s heart they die sadly but just then a person appeared. It was Beowulf fighting a troll, Robin shot the arrow hard as he could right through the troll’s heart. The troll roared in pain and pulled the arrow, the troll lunged toward me but Beowulf used his axes to cut the troll in half.

He did not go deep into the cave he only took from the start of the tunnel. The cyclopes could smell someone. So he decide to destroy the town but robin heard everything the cyclopes has said to himself so he decide to kill him as soon as he got out the cave. 14. Robin Hood

he wondered what it could be maybe a companion to do archery with or maybe an animal Robin didn’t care all he did was glance at his target and knew he wouldn’t miss it. After a while the rustling stopped Robin was still confused of what was behind the bush so he got out of his archery position just to see who it was from the top of the treeline and all he saw … A red fire bird the very rare ones but Robin wasn’t even interested in birds so he got worried for no reason and he went back to his archery position and pulled back his arrow with force because his arrow had to go through 3 trees to meet his target. When Robin let go of his arrow it went through all the trees and met his target by madiha

  15. Robin carefully walked to the sound,he shot the rope that was holding the thing up.Down came a dummy but little did he know behind that tree was the sheriff of Nottingham, as soon as the sheriff jumped out Robin was nowhere to be seen. The only thing he did notice was the rustling in the trees. But he ran away to stay out of trouble.

  16. So he slowly walked towards it and got his bow and arrow ready to shoot and without a minute too spare he let go of the glittery green bow and shot. But then he heard a scream,it was a deep voiced man type of scream as he saw the arrow go , he dident know what he was doing so he took a deep breath and walked close to it and saw the evil king, he had shot at the kings pillow so he ran away. And then the king carefully walked to the window and peeped outside but however he dident see any one so he looked at the arrow that had been shot into his royal, feathery pillow and so he thought “hmm mm who shoots arrows from there bows , he then remembered Robin hood ohh that guy ‘ i am going to kill him ” he replied angrily . so he stuck out his head from the window and shouted ” ROBIN !!!!!!!!!! Robin hood had heard his name being called but dident awnser ….

  17. Without thinking Robin drew back his arrow and began to look around. Another noise. The leaves of the trees were rustling in the wind and Robin could hear footsteps. He tried to concentrate but flashbacks from before hit his head he saw his enemy next to him and he trying to aim but miss completely off target. They stopped. Everything fell silent. Robin knew this was his chance. He could see the shadow of his target next to the tree. As the target stepped out Robin aimed and drew back his beautifully curved yellow bow back as fast as he could. Success. The enemy dropped to the floor and as he slowly fell Robin noticed a hoodie reveal his face. Robin couldn’t believe what he saw. The best friend of one of his enemies. Injured. Robin knew he was in trouble and had some more serious drawing back bows to do. Description; The man was a strong hooded gentlemen with a wisp of green hair his grey hoodie said it all.. he was ashamed to show himself. As many scars, cuts and injuries covered his small light skinned face. The man also had light grey eyes which seemed like if anyone looked into them too long they would be lost in the sight of hurricanes and tornadoes.

  18. The rustle came from a small red fox that got lost. Robin new it was looking for its family. Robin climbed down the tree to see if he could help the hopeless fox. Out of nowhere, a giant talking snake coiled around Robins arm and whispered “Give me your bow and I will 1 wish,” Robin new it was a trap and he shouted ” NEVER my bow means everything to me so leave me alone.” so the snake did what he asked and slithered away. By this point, the fox had found its family and robin went to go back to archery practice for the final time.

  19. He glanced at the treeline and quickly crept over to find what it was. When he crept to it he couldn’t believe his eyes it was the first deer he seen in years! The deer stared at Robin the whole time. If Robin moved an inch the deer would of ran. So he slowly and quietly grabbed a berry to lure the deer in to his trap. The deer had beautiful brown eyes, fur as soft as a cloud and Robin knew that the fur of the deer sure was going to get him money. Robin was excited about this and ran after the deer, Robin scared the deer and it ran away. He moaned,”I’ve never seen a deer so big and it’s fur most of been worth so many coins! Uhh-hh!” He kicked a rock near him and grabbed his bow which had glistening gold wrapped around it, a Robin bird carved into it that was made by his dad the craftsman. Robin never knew why he was called this name his dad never told him. Until, something extraordinary happened near the rock he kicked was a letter on the ground it was shimmering with silver lining. Robin picked up the letter with no consent he read it with a mocking voice,” Hello, if you are reading thy recite thee words. Check thee tree with plee if you want to find me.” He muttered under his breath,” A waste of my time!”

  20. He pulled back on his arrow .Shot and missed, he quickly ran to what the rustling was behind the tree,he peered around the branches and saw a bird he felt foolish for being distracted by a bird so went back to training .After a weird and wonderful training session Robin was finally ready to go home. When he heard a muffled scream he ran and ran but could not find were the scream came from when he came to a carriage inside the carriage was made out of gold and sitting on a fluffy pillow was a beautiful maiden . Robin had to save .

  21. He went over to see what it was … and it was a rabbit. Robin felt so stupid that he was distracted by a little rabbit. He went on glancing at the target minute after minute. Suddenly, there was a rustle at his right he did not dare to see what it was because he knew it was something stupid so he carried on.Glancing after minutes and minutes. Then it happened again and again and again.Glancing at the target angrily, Robin had enough and and stomped to the branch he looked over and saw a girl that he fell in love with at first sight she had beautiful fiery hair and sky blue eyes she was wearing a wonderful purple dress that reminded Robin of his Mum when she went to weddings. As the girl picked her strawberry’s, Robbin kept starring at her beautiful blue eyes. As soon as Robbin had a chance to say a word the girl walked away.Mysteriously the girl was walking to a dark haunted place she was going to an evil man his name was Mr hadies.

  22. Without thinking or aiming he shot the released the arrow and it ended up right in the sky. their was a squirrel disturbing him in a tree branch. He has failed, he had lost his growth mindset . He tried again and this time he thought about the target not a squirrel rustling in the trees. He thought about being an ox again. If he was the bow he would fly right through the middle of the target. Before he let go of the bow he looked around and heard a lot of chatter coming from behind him. He turned round and saw the kings knights walking down the road. Robin had a dilemma in his head if he should release the arrow or not. He was a ox stronger than anything so as quick as a flash he shot the arrow in one of the men’s head and the rest ran away like chickens what did he do? Before he could speak he ran to his tree house to talk to his friends.
